Javanese dance

         Javanese culture was familiar with dance in their culture. They do their dance in wedding and certain ceremony.  Javanese dance also usually similar with wayang wong which stated in yogjakarta and surakarta due to the nature of dance being a pusaka. 

    

      There`s have two types of javanese dance that were familiar which is Tari Kraton and Tari Kawulo. Tari Kraton is dance that only familiar for palace dances, while Tari Kawulo is for commoner dance. In Tari Kraton, there`s have three basic  type of dance that the dancer need to know :

beksan putri

•    Beksan putra   :  these are dance for men which is they dance with two purpose  - a military close      order and order drill and highlighting martial skills.
•  Beksan putri      :  these dance for female. this dances designed for royal events with very precise movements and distinct staging with subtle layers of meaning.
•  Beksan wayang  :  these are dance that are pick from epic poems. then, they usually named the characters  in them which that alus- style and a gagah- style villain.

Tari Kawulo

            Tari Kawulo is known as Tari Rakyat. This dance is popular among commoner. This type of dance  were developed in villages or cities  that are located relatively quite far from from Javanese Kratons. This dance also also more open and adaptive to foreign influences.
