Javanese food

      In Javanese culture, three have many types of food that they eat and produce. Food that they produce are different than other culture. Javanese cuisine is a major ethnic group in Indonesia. Other than that, Javanese cuisine is more indigenous developed and noted for its simplicity.
   
      Furthermore, Javanese cuisine tastes rather than sweet compared to other culture. It is because generous amount of gula jawa or sweet soy favoured. The Javanese food is categorized into central and east Javanese food. Both of them serve simple and less spicy food, but then Central Javanese food id tends to be sweeter.

    One of the popular recipe of Javanese food is nasi ambang. Nasi ambang is an authentic Javanese cuisine which is wrapped and served in tray. It was divided into 4 serves which is Nasi Ambeng is a special rice that is quite similar with nasi campur (mixed rice), which is popular among the Javanese and Nasi Tumpeng which is popular in Indonesia. It is a grand dish which is usually served during special occasions.

 According to reliable sources " Nasi ambang usually served in dulang.  A generous amount of rice is placed in the centre of a dulang or large platter which is lined with banana leaf.  Nasi Ambeng is normally eaten by hand the standard practice is to sit around the platter on a mat.  Nasi Ambang is a great communal treat and it teaches the concept of sharing food equally. "
